Pools of IES enumerators in DRC
In 2021, the IES database consists of more than 540 investigators, 21% of whom are women. They master data collection tools based on the new technology. IES enumerators use android tablets with the most up to date software (ODK, Kobo Collect, Survey CTO, Survey to Go, Open Camera, GPS Tracking, audio recording, etc).
IES enumerators are mainly spread across 16 DRC provinces (divided by pool: urban and rural areas).

Despite having a university level, all IES enumerators are still trained in ethics and deontology conduct in social research and methodological approach. Being local, they master local languages and culture. They are always supervised by experts.
